As an important strategic resources and human resources，migrant workers play an irreplaceable role in the process of national industrialization and urbanization，injecting new vitality into urban and rural economic and social development and creating a large amount of social wealth. Since the reform and opening up，the migrant workers’ economy，mainly in the form of labor income and income from hometown entrepreneurship，has become a significant part of the high-quality development of economy in Sichuan. By defining the concept of migrant workers’ economy，this paper sorts out its development history，analyzing the main difficulties，proposing countermeasures to promote its future development.
