Population aging is an important trend of social development. The continuous high degree of aging in China will be a basic demographic law in the process of socialist modernization. The seventh national census provides the latest data support for the study of population aging in Sichuan. Based on the data analysis and forecast，this study analyzes both the current situation and trend of aging in the province. It also analyzes the impact of aging on both the economic security and service security for the old age. It puts forward ideas and suggestions from the aspects of optimizing system design，improving multi-level social insurance system and service system for the elderly，strengthening rural old-age security，etc. All provides a valuable reference for decision-making.
