Collecting in museum refers to the acquisition of ownership of new collections by the museum in accordance with relevant policies and regulations through reasonable and legal approaches，which could provide richer collections for the exhibition，research，external exchange and social education for it is the entrance and source of museum collection resources. From 2021 to 2022，basing on the present and considering from a long-term perspective，Beijing museums still have made new progress and break-through in the collection work in spite of the severe epidemic. In the face of new opportunities，meanwhile，Beijing museums are accepting greater challenges.
