The food security strategy is “the great one in the country”. In China，there is not only profound historical logic，scientific theoretical logic，but also rich practical logic. The world today is undergoing great changes not seen in a century，in the face of the global food crisis that cannot be ignored，we must continue to ensure food supply capacity and firmly grasp the initiative of food security. To this end，the General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly emphasized the food security strategy，put forward a national food security strategy that is based on our own interests，domestic interests，production capacity，moderate imports，and scientific and technological support，formed a systematic view of food security，and pointed out the direction for guiding China to do a good job in food security in the new era. This paper discusses the value implication of food security strategy from the historical perspective and theoretical dimension，analyzes the basic conditions of Jilin Province’s food security strategy，studies the overall thinking of Jilin Province’s food security strategy，and on this basis，puts forward the main path of Jilin Province’s food security strategy，hoping to provide a reference research perspective and countermeasures for better food security strategy.
