The Qilian Mountain is an important ecological function area in China，and an important ecological security barrier and water conservation area in the northwest of China. Since the 21st century，with the rapid development of China’s economy，people’s living standards have continued to rise，human activity caused varying impacts on the ecological environment of the Qilian Mountain. In recent years，China has attached great importance to the restoration of natural environment and put forward a series of regulations and plans for ecological restoration. The Qilian Mountain，as an important mountain range in China，has been included in the list of natural environment restoration for several times. The mountain closure and grazing prohibition are major measures for the ecological restoration of the Qilian Mountain. This paper has analyzed the current situation of the ecological environment of the Zhangye City，Qilian Mountains，pointed out the existing problems，and pointed out ideas and countermeasures by consulting data，investigating visits，field monitoring and other methods and means，as well as detailed data.
