The rise of urban agglomeration is an important symbol of economic development to a certain stage，which has a huge driving effect on the high-quality development of service industry. This report fully draws on the relevant results of the existing evaluation of high-quality development of service industry，taking into account the availability of data，constructs the evaluation index system of high-quality development of service industry in urban agglomerations in the central region，including three first-level indicators of scale strength，structural efficiency and supporting capacity，and 15 second-level indicators. The evaluation results show that the order of the comprehensive evaluation scores from high to low is as follows：Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration，Wuhan urban agglomeration，Hefei metropolitan area，Zhengzhou metropolitan area，Greater Nanchang metropolitan area and Shanxi central urban agglomeration. Wuhan，Changsha，Zhengzhou，Hefei，Taiyuan and Nanchang，as provincial capitals，play a leading role in the high-quality development of service industry in urban agglomerations. The high-quality development level of service industry in Luoyang，Wuhu，Ma’anshan，Zhuzhou，Shangrao，Xinxiang，Yichun and Bengbu is in the second echelon，while 13 cities such as Jiujiang，Chuzhou and Xiaogan are in the third echelon，while 9 cities such as Luliang，Jiyuan and Xianning are in the fourth echelon. In the new stage of development，we should focus on industrial upgrading，innovation and empowerment，space expansion，low-carbon transformation and government guidance，constantly improve the integration，motive force，openness，green and coordination of high-quality development of service industry in urban agglomerations，accelerate the high-quality development of service industry in urban agglomerations in the central region，and create a new situation for the rise of the central region in the new era.
