The Russia-Ukraine conflict,which broke out in early 2022,is an important case on the mediatizationed transnational crisis in the era of intelligent communication. There are three changes in the global media ecology on the Russia-Ukraine conflict:visual media content,intelligent core technology of media,and weaponized media reality.
This report attempts to clarify how Russia and Ukraine and other stakeholders are involved in the conflict and open up the “second battlefield” on digital platforms with the use of social media and intelligent communication. The report also offers suggestions on China’s innovative path of international communication in unexpected global crises with the use of the Internet and social media.
