The State Council approved the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Urban Agglomerations in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River，proposing that the urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River should be built into important supports for the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the rise of the central region，an important growth pole for high-quality national development，an important urban agglomeration of international influence. With the theme of “Building an Important Growth Pole for National High-quality Development”，from the perspective of “highlighting the advantages and characteristics of Hubei，Hunan and Jiangxi provinces”，this report conducts an in-depth study on the current situation，key areas and path strategies of coordinated development of urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in the new development stage，comprehensively enhance the comprehensive carrying capacity of urban agglomerations，and play a greater role in achieving high-quality development across the country.
