Since 2021，Baishan City has fully implemented the high-quality development strategy of “one main and six doubles”，the urban economy has maintained stable development，the optimization and upgrading of characteristic industries has been accelerated，and social and people’s livelihood guarantees have also been strengthened. According to the evaluation system of urban competitiveness indicators，Baishan City currently has shortcomings in factors such as agglomeration，population density，and open connections. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period，Baishan City should further leverage its geographical and resource advantages，strengthen innovation leadership and opening to the outside world，continue to optimize industrial ecology and enhance environmental construction，and improve urban competitiveness.
