The development level of the cause of the disabled is an important symbol of the degree of urban civilization. By selecting Guangzhou Volunteer in Kangyuan program as the research object，this report analyzes the operation process and mechanism of voluntary service organizations participating in helping the disabled，summarizing that after 11 years of development，the Volunteer in Kangyuan program has achieved great success in professionalizing the team，diversifying projects，systematizing experience，and creating a volunteer service atmosphere which is called Volunteer for the disabled·Sunshine smile. All the achievements above have notably promoted employment，entrepreneurship，physical rehabilitation，and social integration of the disabled in the past 11 years. Nonetheless，the report also points out that there are still some issues need to be improved and resolved，such as the mismatch between supply and demand，the limited service coverage，and the weak resource services in the program. The report emphasizes that the Volunteer in Kangyuan program needs to pay more attention to and improve in areas like demand orientation，service accuracy，rational planning，service dimension，professional-oriented，the depth of service，resources integration，and the breadth of services.
