In the new era，there is an urgent need to establish an effective working mechanism linking screening，diagnosis，rehabilitation and education for children with special needs，and further to provide professional services and resource support for these children and their families. Wuxi Early Intervention Center for Children with Special Needs，as a professional child rehabilitation institution independently established by the Disabled Persons’ Federation，officially set up a “Volunteer Service Station” in 2017，which is a new exploration to provide volunteer services to the children newly identified with special needs and their families in the region. With the aim of “Professional Quality and Public Welfare”，the work of volunteer service has developed from a single consulting business in the initial stage into a comprehensive service process integrating “early screening，professional consultation，policy publicity，skill training and psychological support”. Furthermore，the service platform has attracted 23 social organizations to form a volunteer alliance，a “multi-dimensional cooperation” to help the disabled.
