College and university youth volunteer service is an important part of “practice education”. Nanjing Normal University of Special Education is orientated toward the training of specialized talents in special education and the cause of the disabled，and thus，voluntary service for helping the disabled plays a particularly key role in the whole process of talent training，which has proved its role in supporting the development of young students and provided a path for reference and development in a wider range. This report sorts out the development history of the college’s volunteer service for the disabled，specifically displays six types of characteristic volunteer service projects for the disabled，systematically summarizes the achievements of the college’s volunteer service for the disabled. The valuable experience was gained in project’s full participation，inheritance and innovation，content enrichment，and return to the original，etc.，and the enlightenment and suggestions for the volunteer service of the youth in colleges and universities were obtained.
