People being masters of the country is the essence and core of Chinese democracy. As an important part of whole-process people’s democracy，democratic election is not only an important way for Chinese citizens to realize their democratic rights according to law，but also an important way to ensure that the people are the masters of the country. From 2021 to the first half of 2022，China has entered a new round of the period for the election of the representative of the People’s Congress of the county and township. All localities have orderly promoted the general election of county and Township People’s congresses，actively deployed in voter registration，the protection of citizens’ right to know and the protection of the voting right of the floating population，and effectively protected citizens’ democratic rights in terms of their right to vote and stand for election.
