Based the development history and current market share of global integrated circuit industry，this article selects six countries and regions including the United States，Europe，Japan，Korea，China’s mainland and Taiwan Region. With the method of big data analysis，this article analyses the distribution of talent in IC industry in the above six countries and regions. Centering high-skilled talent in the industry，this article illustrates experiences and skills needed by talent in the industry，as well as talent cultivation and the “industry-academia-research” development of the industry. Recommendations are proposed to promote talent development of IC industry in China.
