Red tourism is an emerging tourism with rapid growth. It has social value，cultural value and economic value and has a strong educational function and can make outstanding contributions to the development of tourism. There are Yunnan Military Academy History Museum，Yunnan Zaxi conference Memorial Hall and other Chinese classic red scenic spots in Yunnan. Relying on excellent red tourism resources，Yunnan is rapidly developing red tourism，optimizing red tourism products，telling red classic stories，and promoting the appeal and influence of red tourism. Firstly，this report combs the development basis，and then analyzes the development overview and main problems of red tourism. Six suggestions are put forward to optimize the development of red tourism in Yunnan Province，dig into the high-quality development elements and stimulate the vitality of innovative development of red tourism in Yunnan Province.
