Secondary vocational education is an important cornerstone of the modern vocational education system. Promoting its high-quality development is related to the overall development of national vocational education. Based on the analysis of its current situation in Anhui at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period，Anhui still faces development bottlenecks such as traditional concepts and social prejudices，poor foundation of secondary vocational students，and poor access to higher education. Proposals are made to strengthen top-level design，coordinate and comprehensively utilize resources to promote the construction of a modern secondary vocational education system and open up access，and build an employment platform for intermediate skilled talents，which provides a path reference for the comprehensive modernization of secondary vocational education.
