粮食安全在我国农业生产和国家安全领域具有举足轻重的地位,航天育种在我国三大口粮——水稻、小麦和玉米的育种工作中都发挥了重要的作用。在育成的超过200个通过国审、省审的航天主粮作物品种中,航天水稻占据了一半以上的份额。小麦的主栽品种“鲁原502”,是以航天突变系优选材料为亲本选育而成的小麦新品种。在我国的玉米育种中,航天育种创制的种质资源育成了各种用途的玉米骨干自交系和新品种,成为国家或各省(区、市)的主栽品种。在蔬菜和经济作物中,航天育种也创造了大量的种质资源和经济效益。航天牧草填补了国内优质高产牧草品种的空白。在一些不涉及食品安全的植物种类,如林草花卉中,对航天育种有着更大的需求,在花卉中已经有了大量的新品种。基于不同作物之间基因组研究和育种水平的差异,在研究深度不足、育种水平较低的植物类别中可以充分利用空间诱变的方法获得产生有益变异的突变体,如我国中药材种质资源的创制。
<<Food security plays an important role in China’s agricultural production and national security,so space breeding has played an important role in the breeding of rice,wheat and corn,the three major staple crops in China. Among the more than 200 national and provincial main grain crop varieties,space rice accounts for more than half of the total. Luyuan 502,the second main wheat variety in China,is a new wheat variety produced by selecting parents from the preferred material of the space mutant line. In maize breeding in China,the germplasm resources created by space breeding have developed various maize inbred lines and new varieties,which have become the main varieties of the country or province. In vegetables and cash crops,space breeding has also created a large number of germplasm resources and economic benefits. The space forage has filled the blank of high quality and high yield forage in China. In some plant species that do not involve food safety,such as forest,grass and flowers,there is a greater demand for space breeding,and there have been a large number of new varieties in flowers. Based on the differences in genome research and breeding level among different crops,spatial mutagenesis can be fully used to obtain beneficial mutants in plant categories with insufficient research depth and low breeding level,such as the creation of Chinese herbal medicine germplasm resources.
