Strengthening the regulation of Shanghai sports market is the key support for building a global famous sports city. The current situation of Shanghai sports market regulation is sorted out in terms of regulatory bodies，regulatory contents，regulatory statute and regulatory tools. It is concluded that Shanghai has initially built a sports market regulation system with highlights such as promoting the integration of regulation and services，following the direction of sports reform and development，and strengthening the connection between regulation and sports consumption，but there are still problems such as not fully considering the characteristics of sports market，regulatory efficiency needs to be further improved，the statute of regulation still needs to be further improved，and the level of supervision digitalization needs to be strengthened. Combining with the actual development of Shanghai sports industry，we put forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the regulatory level of Shanghai sports market from five aspects：focusing on the top-level design of sports market supervision，establishing a hierarchical and categorical regulation system，accelerating the construction of comprehensive event management service mechanism，improving the refinement level of supervision of fitness and leisure industry，and building the regulatory framework of sports training industry.
