By comparing the literature on oral health status of the elderly in North China in the past ten years，the common oral diseases，caries，periodontal disease，tooth loss and denture estoration status of the elderly were summarized and analyzed. The results show that the oral health status of the elderly in North China is also different due to the vast geographical area and the large gap in economic status. The oral health status of the elderly in the economically developed areas of Beijing and Tianjin is generally good，while the oral health awareness of the elderly in the economically poor areas of Hebei.
