In May 2022，the Regulations on the Protection of Cultural Heritage along the Beijing Central Axis was released，which pointed out that we should attach importance to the protection，inheritance and dissemination of the historical value，cultural value，aesthetic value，scientific and technological value and era value of the Central Axis by means of the latest digital technology and other modern scientific and technological means. Taking the digital protection of intangible cultural heritage on the central axis as an example，this paper analyzes the application of digital technology in intangible cultural heritage protection，especially blockchain technology. The use of blockchain technology to develop an alliance chain and the deployment of smart contracts to establish a database of Beijing’s intangible cultural heritage is exactly the required innovative development. It is expected to not only help Beijing Central Axis apply for World heritage，but also provide reference for the digital preservation，inheritance and dissemination of intangible cultural heritage.
