How to effectively carry out the protection of intangible cultural heritage is a topic that the government and academia have been promoting and researching. In the digital age，the digitization of intangible cultural heritage has become one of the important paths for the protection of intangible cultural heritage，which has made great progress in the four aspects of storage and protection，dissemination，inheritance，innovation and development，and reconstructed the ecological system of intangible cultural heritage to a certain extent，but it also exposed some contradictions and problems in protection and development，tradition and modernity，culture and technology. As the cultural center and scientific and technological innovation center of the whole country，Beijing’s advanced experience in the digitization of intangible cultural heritage can have a strong radiation and driving effect on China’s intangible cultural heritage protection work. On the basis of elaborating on the protection methods and mechanisms of intangible cultural heritage digitization，this paper focuses on the current situation，achievements and shortcomings of the digitalization of intangible cultural heritage in Beijing，and puts forward countermeasures such as accelerating the construction of intangible cultural heritage database，giving full play to the advantages of digital dissemination，improving the digital skills of inheritors，and further deepening the cooperation between intangible cultural heritage protection and universities.
