Basing on the new development stage，implementing the new development concept and constructing the new development pattern are the current context in contemporary China. Under this background，the development of sports facilities fosters new opportunities and creates new beginning. The strong support of favorable policies，the application of new technologies and new modes，the vast market of rural sports and the radiation effect of the Winter Olympics all give possibilities to sports facilities. However，the development of sport facilities is still faced with many uncertain factors. The complex and severe international situation，the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic，the downward pressure of the macro economy and the risks of sport facilities have brought new tests to the sport facilities development. In the future，there are six directions for the high-quality and sustainable development of the sport facilities industries，namely，vigorously developing community sports resources，highlighting the city’s promotion benefits，efficiently utilizing the stock resources，improving the industrial chain of sport facilities industries，further deepening the integration of sport facilities industries，and promoting the high combination of intelligent system and low-carbon concept. This has also become an important part of building a higher level of national fitness public service system during the period of the 14^th Five-Year Plan，and promoting the construction of “Leading Sporting Nation”.
