Jun porcelain is one of the five most famous porcelains（Jun，Ru，Guan，Ge and Ding）in Song Dynasty，which has a long history of more than 1700 years. The formation and development of Jun porcelain are closely related to the local geographical environment，climate and mineral resources. Firstly，this paper analyzs the unique natural advantages of the formatio and development of Jun porcelain based on the geological situation of Yuzhou area. Then，according to the principles of ceramic technology，the kinds，functions and mineral resource characteristics of raw materials used for the prepatation of Jun porcelain are described in detail，and these raw materials are divided into six parts，such as clay，quartz，feldspar，MgO-CaO materials，flux-auxiliary materials，local preparation-frit materials. This paper will provide relevant theoretical basis for the research and development of new jun-porcelain materials and new technology in China，which has great significance for the development and inheritance of traditional Chinese culture.
