Taking the previous four sessions of China International Import Expo（CIIE）held from 2018 to 2021 as examples，this report evaluates and prospects the internal and external spillover effects of the CIIE under the new development pattern，on the base of field studies，news reports and existing research literature. This report finds that as an international platform，the CIIE has helped to promote China’s trade upgrading，consumption upgrading，opening-up upgrading and local development and cooperation. As a Chinese proposal，it has helped to promote world economic growth and inclusive globalization，and lead the trend of international economic and trade development. In the process of constructing China’s new development pattern，it is necessary to strengthen CIIE’s functions as “four platforms”（i.e. international procurement，investment promotion，people-to-people exchanges and open cooperation）. Meanwhile，it is essential to optimize the exhibition mode，facilitate the flow of resources，enhance the influence of Hongqiao International Economic Forum，promote CIIE’s interaction with other national strategies，and then amplify its spillover effects on domestic reform and development and the world economy.
