This chapter quantitatively analyzes the Chinese companies shortlisted in the 2021 “Fortune Global 500” from the three dimensions of geographical distribution, industry distribution, and ownership structure distribution, and qualitatively analyzes and summarizes typical cases of typical companies. In general, the number and operating income of my country’s shortlisted companies in 2021 will show a certain increase compared with 2020. From the perspective of geographical distribution, most of the shortlisted companies are still from the eastern region, but the number of companies in the central and western regions has increased compared with the previous year;from the perspective of industry distribution, the top three industries are manufacturing, comprehensive and finance. From the perspective of the distribution of ownership structure,state-owned enterprises still account for a large proportion and are still the backbone of my country’s economic development. Combining the specific cases of typical enterprises, this chapter believes that there is still a gap in the comprehensive competitiveness of Chinese enterprises, showing that traditional industries account for a high proportion, brand value needs to be improved, and high-tech industries are still facing the problem of “stuck neck”,all of which may hinder enterprises. increase. In the future, the transformation and upgrading, innovation and development of enterprises, and the challenges of cultivating brands, urgently need to enhance industrial competitiveness and product core competitiveness, thereby improving international competitiveness and value chain level. Chinese enterprises should take the initiative to shoulder greater responsibilities, make full use of both domestic and international markets and resources, enhance their global resource allocation and integration capabilities, and transform my country’s super-large market advantages into international competitive advantages,in order to achieve high-quality development, contribute to the construction of a new development pattern.
