Farmers are one of the main participants of rural living environment improvement. They should play the main role in the improvement of rural living environment. This report expounds the situation of farmers’ participation in the improvement of rural living environment through the investigation. Analysis results show that the farmers have a high willingness to participate the rural living environment improvement，and actively participate the specific activities，such as rural toilet revolution，village cleaning action，household garbage treatment，domestic sewage treatment，and village appearance improvement，contains the process of plan planning，project construction，supervision and acceptance，operation and maintenance，etc. But some farmers do not fully express their will，the actual participation is not high. We should actively carry out publicity and explore and establish various channels to encourage and guide the people to participate in the improvement of rural living environment.
