Improving rural living environment is a key task in implementing rural revitalization strategy. Based on the data from the ‘Special Survey on the Status of Rural Social Services’,this report calculates farmers’ satisfaction with 11 indicators of rural living environment development in the total sample and in the eastern,central and western regions,and rank the satisfaction of each region. The results of satisfaction analysis show that farmers’ overall satisfaction with rural living environment development is high,and farmers’ satisfaction rate with village appearance,village air quality and village cleaning is above 90%,but farmers’ satisfaction rate(70.8%)with rural household garbage classification is the lowest. The results of satisfaction score and ranking show that village appearance,village air quality and village cleanliness are the indicators with the highest satisfaction scores,while rural household garbage classification and rural sewage treatment are the indicators with the lowest satisfaction scores. The results of inter-regional comparative analysis show that village appearance,rural garbage transportation and village environmental noise in the central region are the top-ranked indicators,while the satisfaction scores of village river management in the eastern region and rural residential toilet conversion in the western region are the bottom-ranked indicators.
