In 2021，Honduras has a smooth president eclection. The left-wing party Freedom and Reconstruction Party came to power for the first time in 20 years，but it faced many challenges：the complex relationship within the ruling party and the increasingly obvious contradictions between parties. Honduras economy in 2021 had a strong recovery with a fast growth. Affected by the double blow of the COVID-19 epidemic and natural disasters，the national economy is under great upward pressure. Fluctuations in remittance income and rising unemployment have exacerbated social problems such as poverty and public security. Honduras-U.S. relations will be strengthened with a new Honduras government. In the multiple relations，Honduras is making use of the cooperation with the international and regional institutions to improve the relations both with the countries in and outside the region.
