The economy recovered slowly this year，oil revenues grew substantially，and fiscal deficits were significantly reduced. Rampant drug trafficking has led to a deterioration in domestic security situation. In the field of external relations，Lasso government emphasizes globalization，free trade and multilateralism，accelerates the process of joining the Pacific Alliance，and actively seeks to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership.
