In the global digital era，digital economy has gradually become an important driving force of world economic growth. Digitalization not only promotes the profound adjustment of international industrial transfer pattern，but also accelerates the reform of global value chain based on intra-product division of labor. In this context，this paper focuses on the impact of digitalization on ASEAN countries’ participation in global value chain. The empirical study shows that digitalization has a significant positive impact on forward participation and position index of ASEAN countries’ manufacturing industry，and a significant negative impact on backward participation. Digitalization has the least positive impact on the forward participation of low-technology manufacturing industry，followed by medium-technology manufacturing industry，and the largest positive impact on high-tech manufacturing industry. Digitalization has the greatest negative impact on backward participation in low-technology manufacturing industry，followed by high-tech manufacturing industry，and has no significant impact on medium-technology manufacturing industry. Digitalization has the greatest positive impact on the position index of low-technology manufacturing industry，followed by high-tech manufacturing industry，and has no significant positive impact on medium-technology manufacturing industry.
