2021年，马来西亚再次经历政权更迭。国民联盟支持的巫统副主席伊斯迈尔出任政府总理，暂时平息了政坛各派分歧，但未能从根本上化解三足鼎立的政坛困局。伊斯迈尔政权依旧随时面临倒台风险。不过，马来西亚的新冠肺炎疫情得到较好防控，经济、对外关系在穆希丁、伊斯迈尔两任政府的推动下呈现较好发展势头。暴雨给国内造成的水灾、澳英美建立安全伙伴关系对地区安全带来的冲击成为马来西亚的主要安全关切。
<<In 2021，Malaysia changed its Prime Minister once more. Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob，Vice President of UMNO，became a new Prime Minister of Malaysia supported by PN. However，Ismail’s taking office did not naturally get rid of the major political contradiction between PN，BN and PH. On the other hand，Malaysian economy showed a good tendency to recover after the implementation of effective measures against the COVID-19 pandemic. In security field，with the establishment of AUKUS，traditional security issue became Malaysia’s top security concern.
