This report evaluates in detail the sustainable development of 101 large and medium-sized cities in China this year. According to the data verification and analysis of 24 sub-index systems in five categories，the top ten cities are：Hangzhou，Nanjing，Zhuhai，Wuxi，Beijing，Qingdao，Shanghai，Guangzhou，Changsha，Jinan. Hangzhou ranked first in the comprehensive ranking of urban sustainable development. The most economically developed cities in the Yangtze River Delta，the Pearl River Delta and the capital metropolitan area still have a relatively high comprehensive level of sustainable development. There is a phenomenon that the sustainable economic development is not synchronized with the sustainable development of society and people’s livelihood. Cities with better sustainable economic development performance are not good in terms of social and people’s livelihood；Sustainable development is generally accompanied by better consumption and emission efficiency，and at the same time，it is bound to bring greater pressure on environmental governance. The global pneumonia epidemic has had an impact on the process of sustainable urban development，and it has also sounded the alarm for urban development. While pursuing urban economic development，we should also pay attention to social and people’s livelihood，urban governance，especially public health and other fields. development in order to achieve sustainable urban development. Based on the analysis of five categories of economic development，social and people’s livelihood，resources and environment，consumption and emission，and environmental governance，this report shows that the level of sustainable development of Chinese cities is significantly uneven.
