The local green finance development index is constructed to reflect the progress of the policy system and market effects in the field of green finance in 31 provinces，autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government. The principles of objectivity，fairness，comparability and science were adopted in the selection of indicators and data acquisition，at the same time，the index system was optimized and updated according to the new progress of green finance in China. The indicators are divided into qualitative and quantitative parts，and the scores of individual indicators of 31 provinces，autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government are obtained through standardized scoring，and the weights of each part of the indicators are determined by the expert scoring method，and the results are finally weighted and aggregated to calculate the indicators. The correlation of research results shows that the regional macroeconomic development has a strong correlation with the effect of green financial market，and the regional financial system development has a strong correlation with the green financial development.
