At present，environmental issues have increasingly become an important issue in social governance，and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has also made a series of ideological guidance and decision-making arrangements for environmental governance issues in our country. Local environmental legislation is an important part of our country’s relevant environmental legal system. Therefore，this paper takes the national environmental policy as an observation perspective，and focuses on the changes and status quo of local environmental legislation in Gansu Province，puts forward five suggestions on broadening the environmental governance channels of multiple subjects，focusing on the Yellow River protection legislation，strengthening the municipal environmental legislation，keeping up with the rural revitalization strategy and strengthening the environmental education legislation，aiming to improve the quality of environmental legislation in Gansu Province.
