In 2020，Vietnam continued implementing all-round and diversified diplomacy. While maintaining and balancing relations between major powers and strengthening relations with traditional friendly countries，Vietnam actively played its role as the rotating presidency of ASEAN and a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council on the international stage，achieved the overall goal of making diplomacy a service for economic and social development，and at the same time has enhanced Vietnam’s international status and influence.
