Product lifecycle management is gradually becoming the kernel of digital transformation for industry enterprises. Based on PDM function and BOM as the digital foundation，PLM builds an internal collaboration relationship within the enterprise，maintains the supply and demand chain ecological relationship of industry enterprises from the perspective of products，and PLM，as the dependence pillar of the digital thread，connects different digital twins and realizes the digital chain composed by product innovation chain，the enterprise value chain and the asset chain of the enterprises. The importance of the PLM is increasingly recognized by enterprises，the PLM industry market is in a continuous growth，in this environment，China’s PLM industry is facing both opportunities and challenges，industry enterprises also need to improve the PLM maturity steadily.
