In order to improve the level of sports think tanks and high-end sports think tanks with Chinese characteristics，this paper analyzes and discusses the construction of sports think tanks in Central and Eastern European countries. After a brief overview of the historical context and realistic situation of the development of sports think tanks in CEE countries，this paper firstly evaluates the situation and types of sports think tanks in CEE countries from the perspective of “status quo and classification”. Secondly，from the perspective of “mechanism and characteristics”，this report focuses on characteristics of the working mechanism and operation mode of sports think tanks in CEE countries and the positive role they play. Finally，from the perspective of “revelation and reflection”，it summarizes the experience and implications on the construction of high-end sports think tanks in China，and calls on all sectors of society to attach importance to the construction of sports think tanks，promote the construction of high-end sports think tanks with Chinese characteristics，and establish a sound cooperation mechanism for the construction of sports think tanks in China and CEE countries.
