The outbreak of COVID-19 at the beginning of 2020 is not only a people’s war in the field of public health，but also a big test of the scientific quality of the whole people. As an important means to improve the public’s scientific literacy，it is imperative to improve the emergency science popularization system. This paper summarizes the current situation and existing problems of emergency science popularization during the epidemic in Beijing，and proposes to improve the institutional mechanism，overall planning，resource platform construction and dissemination system of emergency popularization，so as to promote emergency popularization in disseminating scientific knowledge，eliminating the influence of rumors，and guiding public opinion. It plays an important role in stabilizing social order，etc.，and effectively serves epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development.
