The popular science base is an important force for the development of science popularization in Beijing，and an effective carrier for promoting the scientific spirit，popularizing scientific knowledge，and disseminating scientific ideas and methods. The Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission，the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee and the Beijing Association for Science and Technology jointly issued and implemented the “Administrative Measures for Beijing Science Popularization Bases”，which made new arrangements and put forward new requirements for the application conditions，management operations and support services of Beijing Science Popularization Bases. Beijing Science Popularization Base ushered in new development. This paper analyzes the historical evolution，management system and operation mode of Beijing science popularization bases based on the “Administrative Measures of Beijing Science Popularization Bases” and the cases of typical science popularization institutions，and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the construction and development of Beijing science popularization bases.
