Despite the year 2020 was eventful，the Public International law in China has achieved fruitful results and many influential treatises have been published，such as the basic theory of international law，the law of the sea，international law in cyberspace，and the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative，et cetera. In terms of China’s public international law theory contributed a lot in 2020，four major facets have been manifested. Primarily，the necessity of serving the national strategy has become a crucial orientation of the academic research for Chinese jurists focused on international law. Furthermore，represented by the emerging fields of international energy law and international law in cyberspace have become a new academic growth area. Thirdly，the studies within the traditional arena of international law have opened up more experienced and profound. And finally，the issue of training high-quality foreign legal talents has also attracted increasing attention from the China’s international legal community.
