The overall safety situation of food and drugs in China has been steadily improving，but the potential risks cannot be ignored. The food industry has a complex production chain with many subjects and large consumption. Also，the uneven regional development and the contradiction between the demand side and the supply side of food safety that cannot be effectively matched require urgent solutions. The awareness of responsibility and legal compliance of some enterprises in the pharmaceutical industry is still weak. The safety problems of online drug sales still exist. New medical products and new technologies bring new challenges. In addition to the impact of the epidemic，the risk of uncertainty increases. It is an important task to ensure food and drug safety and promote high-quality development of food and drugs industry. Based on the relevant regulatory data released by the food and drug regulatory authorities，this paper analyzes the current situation and problems of food and drug safety in China，and puts forward policy recommendations to further protect people’s health and life safety.
