In 2022，China’s social security still makes positive progress in the face of many difficulties，such as the impact of COVID-19，the intensification of population aging，and the pressure of economic downturn. Social insurance，social preferential policies，social assistance，employment security，and the protection of the rights and interests of special groups reach a new level. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to improve the multi-level social security system that covers the whole people，integrate social security in urban and rural areas，and establish fair and unified system with standardized and sustainable mechanism. And it also provided specific arrangements for reform and policies regarding income distribution，employment support，expansion of medical resources，elderly care services，birth support，and education resource allocation. Under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s ideology of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and the spirit of the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China，China’s social security undertakings in the future will assure a more important historical mission in the process of serving China’s economic and social construction，promoting the common prosperity of all people，and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
