Small and medium-sized countries are committed to strengthening their strategic autonomy and seeking to adapt to changes through balance and strategic hedging. China’s relations with neighboring powers have entered a period of deep adjustment. Competition，cooperation and confrontation are intertwined. In the new era，China is facing increasing challenges in dealing with hotspot issues in its periphery. However，as China continues to rise and expand its influence，China’s ability to actively shape the surrounding security environment is also increasing.
