2020 marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Philippines. Under the guidance of the heads of state of the two countries,both sides have jointly combatted the COVID-19 pandemic and constantly advanced public health cooperation. People-to-people exchanges in person between China and the Philippines have drastically declined due to the pandemic,especially in the area of tourism exchanges which had been booming in recent years. The pandemic was also viewed as an opportunity to create a new form of people-to-people exchanges in the result of widely use of digital technology bridging the physical space distance. This report attempts to summarize the achievements of China-Philippines people-to-people exchanges from 2020 to 2021in the areas including health,education,culture,science and technology,youth,sister cities etc. This report also provides an assessment of the China-Philippines people-to-people exchanges.
