Aiming at the difficulties such as short development time of China’s smart security industry，lack of public available cases and data，this paper analyzes the background of smart security industry development through systematically sorting out relevant policies and academic research results in this field. Focusing on the issue of vague boundaries of China’s smart security industry，this paper presents the definition of smart security and the relevant elements affecting it in four aspects-infrastructure，platform construction，data management and application scenarios through an in-depth study of nearly one hundred smart security application cases，and harbingers the trend of China’s smart security industry development from aspects of industrial policy，industrial scale and technology development.
