The sudden emergence of the COVID-19 has brought a strong impact on China’s manufacturing enterprises，but some “digital enterprises” have risen against the trend and showed strong vitality. It is important for companies to improve the viability of using the digital means to deal with the challenge of uncertainty. In China，the integration of the informatization and industrialization is in the transition from digitalization to networking，with opening up the “information island” and improving the ability to exploit and transform data，which are the core and key for the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises at present stage. This paper elaborates on the background and current situation of China’s long-term insistence on promoting the integration of informatization and industrialization，the breakthrough of enterprises in the “comprehensive integration” development stage，and the acceleration of the digital transformation of enterprises by the new crown pneumonia epidemic. Based on “Industrial Enterprise Informationization and Industrialization Integration Evaluation Specification”（National Standard GB/T 23020）and evaluation data cases of more than 120，000 enterprises，this papersummarizes and quantitatively analyzes the development level of China’s enterprises to achieve “comprehensive integration”，and further proposes to achieve horizontal interconnection of data in the supply chain and industrial chain in the short term to improve business performance and profitability，and to promote the vertical penetration of data in the physical layer and information layer to improve the production flexibility and production efficiency of enterprises in the long run，thereby accelerating the digital transformation of enterprises.
