In recent years，the digital economy scale in China has continued to expand，becoming an important driving force for technological innovation.This study uses the knowledge graph analysis tool to carry out quantitative and visual analysis of 274 article about digital economy research published in CSSCI journals collected by the China Academic Journal Publishing Database from 1998 to 2020，and sort out the research on the growth period of the digital economy （digital economy 1.0）.Status quo，reveal research hotspots and trends，and explore the future development direction of the digital economy.It was found that：China’s digital economy research developed slowly in the early stage，but showed explosive growth after 2015；domestic scholars have less cooperation in digital economy research，and academic exchanges and cooperation need to be strengthened；the breadth needs to be strengthened；the research hotspots of digital economy mainly involve four aspects：key production factors，important carriers，information technology，and digital applications.The construction of digital rule of law，the cultivation of digital talents，the encouragement of new employment forms，and the construction of digital infrastructure are important directions for the development of the digital economy in the future.
