S & T SMEs are an important carrier to promote scientific and technological innovation，and play an important role in promoting the strategic adjustment of economic structure，promoting sustainable economic development and expanding social employment.This study focuses on analyzing the status of the digital economy innovation level of S & T SMEs in Guangdong Province from 2016 to 2020.It was found that：the digital economy innovation level of S & T SMEs is generally lower than that of HI-TECH，and its distribution of industries is relatively scattered and the aggregation degree is low.However，most of the top 20 S & T SMEs belong to the digital product manufacturing industry，and they are mainly concentrated in the core area of the Pearl River Delta，and the digital transformation of manufacturing industry has leading advantages.Compared with the PRD Region，there is a large gap between the digital economy innovation level of S & T SMEs in the east and west wings of the coastal economic belt of Guangdong Province.The digital economy innovation level of S & T SMEs in the northern ecological zone is relatively ahead of Guangdong Province eastern and western region.
