According to the “Statistical Classification of Digital Economy and Its Core Industries （2021）” released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China，we analyze the innovation activities of digital economy enterprises in Guangdong Province.Through data screening，our sample enterprises are involved in five categories of digital economy industries of 16 medium categories and 96 small categories.From the result，we find that in terms of the comprehensive of economy industries in Guangdong province，the ranking from top to bottom is digital product manufacturing industry，digital technology application industry，digital efficiency improvement industry，digital product service industry，and digital factor driven industry.From the perspective of major categories，except for the digital product manufacturing industry，the innovation level of different regions is relatively different and the nine cities in the core area of the Pearl River Delta are leading in digital technology application industry，the overall innovation level in the industry of digital efficiency improvement，the industry of digital factor driven and the industry of digital product service are not very obvious.From the perspective of the medium category，the development trend of the sixteen digital economy industries in different regions is different，and each region also has different industrial development characteristics.From the perspective of small categories，there is little difference between the innovation level of each region and that of the whole province，which is close to a stable level.
