Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China，major Chinese projects in various fields have gradually reached the peak of the world in terms of scale and level，which have effectively promoted China’s modernization and the practice of the great Chinese Dream. This paper takes the worldwide super projects as the research object，from the perspective of human engineering science and technology development and the evolution of civilization，puts forward new ideas and new standards，scientifically defines the super projects，summarizes the successful elements of super engineering and significant influence of super engineering，studies the characteristics and laws of ancient，modern and ancient super engineering construction，as well as reveals the philosophical connotation and development trend of super engineering.
